How to renew your Ghana passport in Qatar
Ghanaians in Qatar renew at the embassy in Al Dafna. The embassy's website was down when we checked, so this guide also tells you what to confirm by phone or email.
The short answer
Ghanaians in Qatar renew at the Embassy of Ghana in Al Dafna, Doha. Its last published fees, from May 2025, were QAR 474 for a 32-page passport and QAR 730 for a 48-page one, paid in cash. The embassy's website was under maintenance when we checked in October 2026, so call or email before you go.

Where to go
The Embassy of Ghana in Qatar is at Villa No. 7, Street 576, Zone 66, Al Dafna, Doha (PO Box 5931). Its phone number is +974 4436 4486 and its email address is doha@mfa.gov.gh. These are the details it published in December 2024.
The embassy's own pages gave two different sets of opening days, so call before you go rather than relying on the hours you find online.
On 17 October 2026 the embassy's website, doha.mfa.gov.gh, showed a maintenance page, and an older embassy website no longer works. Everything here comes from the embassy's own pages as they were in December 2024 and May 2025. Confirm the fee and the times by phone or email.
How it worked
The embassy's website linked to an online passport application, and the national passport portal is passport.mfa.gov.gh. Applications were dropped off at the embassy from Monday to Thursday between 10am and 12 noon, and passports were collected from Monday to Thursday between 2.30pm and 3pm.
